360 BLOOR STREET EAST

GENERATOR REPLACEMENT

Project Analysis

Our Approach

The existing diesel fuel system was removed, and the incoming NG service to the Building was upgraded to accommodate a dedicated NG monitored valve connection, and a new dedicated NG line was installed from the new station to the Generator room. The new generator was installed within the existing generator room. An existing storage room adjacent to the generator room was repurposed for the installation of the new Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and new emergency power distribution, to allow for a seamless transfer of service from the old system to the new one.

In addition to the new Life safety ATS, a non-life safety ATS was provided to connect selected building loads. New control wiring was also installed from the ATS to the existing elevator controllers to accomplish the Pre/Post transfer controls to meet current code requirements.

Our Results

McGregor Allsop successfully completed the Design, Tendering, Project Administration, and Commissioning to replace the existing 150Kw Diesel Generator with a new 150Kw Natural Gas (NG) Generator for this high-rise residential Condominium.
