Our Approach
The project consisted of removing the existing 12Kw generator and using this space within the building for the new Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and new emergency power distribution. A new 150Kw diesel generator was installed outside in a skin-tight enclosure.
In addition to the new Life safety ATS, a non-life safety ATS was provided to connect heating loads. The existing corridor gas-fired make-up air units were connected to emergency power to provide heat to common corridors during a power outage.
Our Results
McGregor Allsop successfully completed the Design, Tendering, Project Administration, and Commissioning to replace the existing 12Kw generator with a new 150Kw generator for this high-rise residential rental building for the Region of Durham.
