McGregor Allsop was responsible for the Design, Tender, and Project Administration and Commissioning for this project.

Our Approach
The chiller plant is located in a penthouse mechanical room. To replace the chillers an opening was created in the wall of the mechanical room where the old chillers were dismantled and removed via crane. The new chillers were ordered disassembled, craned into the mechanical room, and assembled in the mechanical room.
The BAS system was upgraded as part of this project to handle the additional points for the two chillers.
This project qualified for hydro incentives under the IESO program.
Our Results
The new plant consists of a combination of heat recovery and cooling only chillers, totaling 3200 tons of cooling capacity. Total efficiency of the plant has increased to .073KW/ton, client demand load was reduced by 1078KW and power consumption was reduced by 9.9 milKWh.
